The Mission of the Institute is to provide guidance to explain why is Buddhism a religion and what Buddhism is all about. We believe that when the purpose of religion is better understood, followers of different religions will find it easier to live side by side in harmony.

本研究院之成立旨在解釋為什麼佛教是一個宗教，及為初學者闡釋佛教的核心價值和中心思想是什麼。我們相信「宗教」需有一個明確清晰的定義。有了這定義，不同宗教信仰的信徒便會較容易對大家的立場互相理解，有助諦造一個和諧社會。
